THIS is what community looks like. đź’™

Good music.
Good food.
A lot of laughter.
And more than 200 neighbors coming together.

Our CARE Elementary Community Block Party brought families, neighbors, and community partners together in Little Haiti for an afternoon of connection, wellness, and fun.

We’re grateful to everyone who helped make this afternoon possible.

Commissioner Christine King — thank you for your support of our community and for helping bring this celebration to life.

Zumba — thank you for getting everyone moving.

KW Property Management & Consulting — thank you for your continued support and for treating our families to an ice cream truck.

DJ Genesis, Official DJ of the Florida Panthers — thank you for keeping the celebration going.

Florida Blue — thank you for adding to the celebration with face painting and airbrush tattoos.

House of Wings — thank you for helping keep our community well fed.

And to every family, neighbor, volunteer, partner, staff member, and friend who joined us: thank you for being part of our community.

Has your child come home singing, “Every day I’m reading”?🎶

READ ON is back at CARE Elementary! đź’™
Our READ ON Kickoff officially begins another year of helping Miami elementary school students build stronger reading skills and discover a genuine love for books.

READ ON is CARE Elementary’s incentive-based literacy initiative, encouraging students to read, track the books they complete, and work toward reading goals. Younger students record titles, while older students write short summaries to demonstrate their understanding.

And there’s a little extra excitement along the way!

Every Thursday, students with a completed READ ON get to visit the CARE Treasure Chest and choose a special prize as a reward for reaching their reading goals.

At the end of the year, we celebrate our students through the READ ON Awards, recognizing their dedication with certificates, medals, and trophies. 🏅🏆

📖 For parents: READ ON helps make reading a consistent, enjoyable, and rewarding part of your child’s school experience.

Today, our 5th graders will walk across the stage and begin an exciting new chapter.

Before they do, they wanted to say thank you.

Thank you for the prayers, the encouragement, the lessons, the memories, and the love that have shaped their time at CARE. When asked what they’ll miss most, their answers were heartfelt: their teachers, their friends, chapel, READ ON, and the support that made CARE feel like home.

At CARE, we believe every child has God-given potential. Over the years, these students have grown into confident learners, compassionate leaders, and young people who are ready to take on what comes next.

As we celebrate the Class of 2026 today, we are grateful for every teacher, staff member, family, volunteer, donor, and supporter who helped make their journey possible.

We are so proud of you, graduates. The future is bright, and you’re ready to fly. 💙🎓

One of the things that makes CARE special is our commitment to walking alongside families through the middle school application process.

This fall, our graduates will continue their journeys at incredible schools across South Florida, including Academy for Innovative Education, Carrollton School of the Sacred Heart, Cushman, Doctors Charter School, Franklin Academy, Frederick Douglass, George Washington Carver, Lake Stevens Middle, La Progresiva Presbyterian, Miami Arts Charter School, Ransom Everglades, Shenandoah Middle, SLAM, Southside Preparatory Academy, The SEED School, Urgent Academy, and more.
