Infants - 8th Grade La Scuola is a progressive forest school that welcomes children from ages 3 months to 8th grade.

Tucked within 3 acres of lush and sprawling forest, our campus is surrounded by mature trees, an abundance of wildlife, and beautiful edible landscapes. The nature that surrounds our school is at the heart of our philosophy. At La Scuola, it is our belief that the exploration of the natural world is the richest source of learning. Our progressive school is also heavily inspired by the Reggio Emili

On Wednesday, December 3rd, La Scuola and our entire community suffered a profound and heartbreaking loss. Our beloved Ms. Alicia, a cherished teacher and a radiant light within our school, passed away after courageously battling cancer. Even in the most challenging moments, she carried herself with unwavering grace, unwavering faith, and the kind of quiet strength that inspired everyone around her.

Ms. Alicia touched the lives of our students, families, and staff in ways that words can hardly capture. She taught with joy, lived with purpose, and loved with her whole heart. She had a gift for making every person feel seen, valued, and cared for. Her smile could lift a heavy day, her laugh could fill a room with warmth, and her creativity brought magic into every experience and moment she shared with our children.

As we mourn her passing, we also hold tightly to the immeasurable impact she leaves behind. Her kindness, her gentleness, and her unwavering positivity will continue to live in our school, our classrooms, in our memories, and in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her. Our thoughts and prayers are with her beautiful family during this incredibly difficult time.

To honor her life and legacy, Ms. Alicia’s family has invited our La Scuola family to a Celebration of Life this Saturday, December 13th at 12:00 pm at VOUS Church Miami Gardens, 17801 NW 2nd Ave. We hope you can join us as we come together in love, gratitude, and remembrance for someone so special who gave so much of herself to others.

Ms. Alicia was a true original… gentle, brilliant, joyful, and deeply loved. Her light will continue to shine through the children she taught, the joy she shared, and the love she poured into our school family. She will forever remain a beautiful part of La Scuola’s story and a beautiful part of our lives. ♥️

To our beloved La Scuola community,

Those of you who know Ms. Alicia know what a ray of sunshine she truly is. Her warmth, kindness, and radiant spirit have touched so many hearts. She’s not only a gifted educator and a remarkable artist but she’s also one of the sweetest, most genuine souls you’ll ever meet.

Throughout this past year, Ms. Alicia has faced an unimaginable battle with strength and grace. Despite everything, she continued to show up with a smile whenever she was feeling well enough and poured love into her students and into her work. Recently, she received the heartbreaking news that her cancer has returned and is now at stage 4.

Now, it’s our turn to show up for her. 🙏🏻

Please join us in surrounding her with love, prayer, and support. If you’re able, consider donating to her GoFundMe so she can receive the treatments she urgently needs. Every prayer, every dollar, and every act of kindness matters.

Let’s wrap her in the same love and light she so freely gives to others and show her just how many hearts are holding her close.

Together, let’s remind Ms. Alicia that she’s not alone and that the light she’s shared with the world is shining right back at her now. ♥️

Dear La Scuola family,

It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of the passing of Armando Sanchez, better known as “Chancho”, a beloved member of our school family. Chancho wasn't just an extraordinary father to Ms. Barbie, an exemplary grandfather, or a special and supporting husband to our school chef, Mima; he was truly an integral part of La Scuola. Throughout the years, Chancho spent so much time contributing to our school, whether it was planting countless banana plants throughout the campus, taking care of the school chickens, making repairs when needed, building furniture or anything we needed, being there for us during the hard times, or simply blessing us all with his wise advise and his unmistakable sense of humor. Chancho was a truly special part of La Scuola. He truly taught us so much! Chancho is leaving an indelible mark on all of us. We mourn the loss of this exceptional soul who lived authentically and created his own legacy.

Chancho, you were truly one of a kind, and your absence will be deeply felt. You will be forever in our hearts and will always be remembered! ♥️

Kindly share any cherished memories, and if possible, accompany your thoughts with pictures of any wonderful moments you and your children shared with Chancho.

This year La Scuola's Holiday Market will take place on Saturday, December 11th. Mark your calendars and invite your family and friends to participate and join us for a day of shopping and fun! 🎄

The Holiday Market is an opportunity for local and surrounding city exhibitors and crafters to sell and display their unique, hand-crafted and creative merchandise.

✨Kidpreneurs and Teenpreneurs ✨

One of our favorite things about the Holiday Market is the booths set up by our KIDPRENEURS and TEENPRENEURS. From lemonade stands and handmade jewelry to recycled crayons and homemade bath bombs, Kidpreneurs/Teenpreneurs make the Holiday Market extra special! If your child is interested in having their own booth, please complete the vendor form and select Kidpreneur/Teenpreneur. Please note that spaces are assigned on a first come, first serve basis. To ensure a successful experience for our Kidpreneurs/Teenpreneurs, we are limiting some of the categories (e.g. one lemonade stand). Therefore, it’s really important to complete the registration form as soon as possible.
