Mr. Emmett Till FINALLY gets his due. AAPACT had the privilege and honor of producing playwright Janet Langhart Cohen's moving play, Anne & Emmett. Take a look at how the slain young man was honored in Washington, D.C. Mr. Till we will NEVER forget you. http://www.cbsnews.com/…/tree-planted-at-the-capitol-in-me…/

Look what publicity picture was featured among a montage of pictures at this years' 38 Annual Carbonell Awards ceremony. AAPACT was delighted to see this up there on the big screen. The photo was taken by Juan E. Cabrera with actors Zasha Shary and Shawn Bizzle in the picture in the roles of Anne Frank and Emmett Till. Thank you, Carbonell Awards!!!

AAPACT News Alert!!! AAPACT will launch a directory showcasing South Florida actors, directors, writers, set designers and builders, choreographers, costume designers, make-up artists, photographers, producers, educators, etc. who are working in or aspiring to work in theatre and film. "Where are all the black actors in South Florida!" This has been asked of Teddy Harrell, Jr. Founder/Producing Artistic Director of AAPACT often from agents and producing agencies. "AAPACT enjoys inviting aspiring and seasoned actors to audition for our shows, but more importantly AAPACT refers these actors to other work opportunities when ever possible. Although the directory is designed to expose entertainment professionals of color, the directory invites all entertainment professionals for submission. The directory will go out to South Florida theatre and film producers, casting directors, managers, theatre houses, agents, etc. If you are interested in being included in the directory, email AAPACT at: [email protected]. Place in the subject line: "I am interested" and we will respond to you the details to be included in the directory. Much Success all!

Thank you, Casting Couch for helping South Florida's hidden talent to shine!!! He is a South Florida pioneer and trailblazer. His entertainment career started while he was in elementary school. As an adult he toured Europe with the legendary music group the Drifters. While on the couch Teddy Harrell, Jr. talked about acting, directing and the theater company he founded, AAPACT. Teddy also brought a little surprise with him; the two stars of AAPACT's play Anne and Emmett, Zasha Shary and Shawn Burgess. http://youtu.be/CI3rU3LbLUo.
