Who actually hires an accent coach?
Over the years I’ve learned that my students, despite their profession, share some common threads:
They are high-performing professionals who are already successful but want their spoken English to match their expertise. My students have included, a professional baseball pitcher, a well known comedian from South America, a Brazilian judge, a forensic scientist who was featured on tv, entrepreneurs, successful real estate salespeople, and a billionaire banker.
They speak English well—but know that sounding more natural can make them more persuasive, more confident, and easier to understand in high-stakes conversations.
What they share is a strong self-improvement mindset: they invest in coaching because they’re aware that communication is a career multiplier.
They often say, “People understand me, but I want to sound smoother,” or “I don’t want my accent to distract from my ideas.”
These clients value feedback, practice consistently, and appreciate targeted training in the “music of English because they’ve seen how natural-sounding speech builds trust, reduces misunderstandings, and helps them connect more comfortably in professional and social settings.
