I'm so very upfront and transparent with this exact topic with any client that I have a discovery call with. I'm so well aware that brands want to make money from day one, but the platform is simply not set up to work that way. Tiktok themselves tells us to let potential clients know that the first 90 days is always going to be considered a cold start. We have to go in and fix all of your settings, enroll you in all the features, set up all the best practices and optimizations, make sure everything on the back end is correct, audit your entire platform, update all of your listing titles, descriptions, attributes, photos, and more. Once all of that is done, then we have to aggressively build out your affiliate program. Then we have to start creating an aggressive strategy for your brand specifically that takes into consideration a multitude of different things. Once all of that is said and done, then we start implementing the strategies and testing them and seeing what needs tweaked along the way, then we focus on scaling. I understand that brands want this dollar for dollar transaction, but has any brand ever started and immediately made back the same amount of money they spent in their first 90 days? Almost always that answer will be NO. Tiktok Shop is absolutely a long-term game. Some of us are able to make things happen far faster than others of course, but at the same time there are a lot of brands that takes significantly more work than others. The brands that understand this and have patience, always win.

Are you still struggling with video/ad codes on TikTokShop? Here's the usual reason why I see creators get confused when they authorize a video with specifics included, but then something else happens with the authorized video. Technically, it's a creator mistake, but an easy one to fix! On my creator accounts, I've never once had an issue with codes/brands. Hope this helps!đź’•
