“Life will bring you pain all by itself. Your responsibility is to create JOY.”

Sometimes, there comes a point in our lives when we need to let go of something painful... whether its guilt or a toxic relationship, 🎭.. we get uncomfortably stuck in the middle of two realities: where we are and where we want to be...

When we ⚠️Self Sabotage our own success.. it’s easy to begin to believe something is wrong with us, simply because the fear of Failure is too intense for us or our family didn’t have the capacity to teach us how to navigate our strong negative emotions 🎭

As a child- it’s common to learn how to distrust your own emotions and slowly hate the idea of failure to the core..
•
This can then easily be carried into adulthood — where we find it difficult to believe that we are ENOUGH and that we deserved more than Rejection or pain out of life.

But do we really want to let go of the pain? Or is letting go so scary and unfamiliar that we’d rather hold onto it? Holding on to:

Sometimes, there comes a point in our lives when we need to let go of something painful... whether its guilt or a toxic relationship, 🎭especially when it’s equally difficult to let go and hard to live without. The type of man whose strength allows us to let out guards down. We can feel safe to be ourselves because he holds himself accountable by showing up as his Higher self.

Through his flaws, his inner light still shines bright. He’s the kind of man that inspires us to remember our own potential when our confidence wavers because he is quick to lift heads and put our crowns back aligned.

There’s beauty in the cracks.. if you’re willing to stay around & appreciate them.. 💜

Because, unfortunately my Kings 🚨🚨There’s no such thing as the PERFECT woman.

The curse of ⓅⒺⓇⒻⒺⒸⓉⒾⓄⓃⒾⓈⓂ︎ makes its way into all areas of life, but there’s a special emphasis on finding the PERFECT relationship (ie. The Perfect Woman).
☾
Fear not, though. (Awareness)⚠︎ ︎is the first step in the journey of escaping high expectations. I don’t profess to have captured all of the ways perfectionism manifests in relationships, but below are 5 TRAITS✨ with particularly damaging effects to romantic relationships.

These are the 5 ways perfectionism damages romantic relationships:

1. Projecting unattainable expectations - she doesn’t meet ALL my ‘Requirements’- ..whelp moving along 🤷🏽‍♂️

2. conflict IS failure- Being willing to run at the first sign of a confrontation or opposing views to avoid the risk of REJECTION.🏃🏾🏃🏾

3. Misunderstanding the honeymoon period- its not meant to last forever! Disagreements will happen and are needed for growth and healthy relationships. 💃🕺🏽

4. Falling for the fallacy of “shared interests”- Falling fast & hard for the first woman who shares similar views and goals in life- how could she not be perfect, right? 👀

5. On the flip side- Pushing her completely away- never feeling like ‘she’s good enough’ for you.

This realization would give the phrase
“it’s not...You it’s ME” a whole new meaning..

In relationships, communication is key. 🗣Letting go of HIGH expectations creates breathing space, and room to actually enjoy the beauty in front of you.
