Safety always comes first! ❤️⛑️
A big thank you to Nurse Jen for spending time with our teachers this week, leading our CPR and First Aid training. We hope we never have to use these skills, but we’re grateful to be prepared to keep our students safe every day.
Thank you, Nurse Jen, for sharing your knowledge and helping our St. Edward team start the school year ready for anything!

💛 Faculty Spotlight: Ms. Marla Chapotel 💛
This year marks a special milestone for Ms. Marla Chapotel as she celebrates 10 years as part of the St. Edward family!
As our 4th Grade Teacher, Ms. Chapotel says the best part of her job is simple: laughing with her students every day. She believes learning should be filled with joy, encouragement, and kindness, and her classroom reflects just that.
Inspired by the teachers who believed in her from a young age, Ms. Chapotel now has the opportunity to be that teacher for her own students. She reminds every child that they are “fearfully and wonderfully made” and encourages them to always be kind—to themselves and to others.
A few fun facts about Ms. Chapotel:
🚢 She spent one summer working on the Steamboat Natchez.
🐾 If she could have any superpower, she would find loving homes for every stray animal.
🚴 She enjoys bike riding and working crossword puzzles.
☕ Favorite coffee order: A hot vanilla latte with oat milk.
🎄 Favorite holiday: Christmas.
🎭 Favorite school event: Cochon de Lait.
🎶 Favorite St. Edward tradition: The 3rd Grade Christmas Pageant.
When asked what makes St. Edward so special, her answer was simple and heartfelt:
“Going to work every day with friends who are like family makes it a dream job.”
Her advice for our students is something we can all live by:
“Be kind to yourself and others.”
Thank you, Ms. Chapotel, for ten years of laughter, kindness, and creating a classroom where students feel encouraged, supported, and loved. We are so thankful you’re part of the St. Edward family and can’t wait to see all you’ll accomplish in the years ahead! 🖤💛🦅
