Dear Trinity Basin Preparatory Mesquite Families,

This week, our amazing students will take the final STAAR assessment of the season. We kindly ask for your support in ensuring that all students arrive at school on time and prepared for the Math STAAR assessment on Thursday, April 23, 2026.

Please review the attached flyer for important information about the testing day and helpful tips to support your child’s success. Making sure students arrive on time, get a good night’s sleep, and eat a healthy breakfast will help them feel confident and ready to do their best.

As we prepare for STAAR testing, we are also seeking donations of individually wrapped snacks and bottled water for our students. Providing a small snack during testing helps students stay focused, energized, and confident throughout the day. Suggested donation items include granola bars, crackers, fruit snacks, bottled water, and other individually packaged, nut-free options.

As a token of appreciation, families who donate items will receive a Free Dress Day Pass for their student.

Families can also support students at home by encouraging consistent sleep, healthy meals, hydration, and predictable routines. We encourage families to remind students:

* “Mistakes help my brain grow.”
* “I am prepared and capable.”
* “I can do hard things.”
* “One question at a time.”

Most importantly, please remember and reinforce that testing is just one measure of progress. We want students to focus on effort, growth, and resilience rather than perfection.
