A couple of reminders this week:

Tomorrow, 8/14, is picture day! Be sure to wear your uniforms and your biggest smile.

Friday, 8/15, at 9:00 AM, is the deadline for ordering spirit wear. Students may wear their spirit shirts every Friday! You can place your order directly through EVS and it will be delivered to campus in approximately 3 weeks.

Is your student interested in joining clubs on campus? Look out for these ones starting soon:

Drama Club: Begins 8/12 and runs every Tuesday at 3:45 pm. Speak with Mrs. McFarland to sign up.

FLL Robotics: Begins 8/11 at 4:15 pm in RM 14 at Fremont. See Mr. Riley for more information.

Chess Club: Begins 8/20 and runs every Wednesday at 7:00 am. Visit https://www.chessemporium.com/?page=programs&catalogId=52 to register.

Battle of the Books: Battle of the Books will be starting in a few weeks. Start building your team and get ready to register! Or get a head start on the books for the first battle. See Ms. Rachael in the library for more details.

Mesa Academic League: MAL is forming their roster for the upcoming season. Message or visit Ms. Tietz if interested.

It's back to school week! Here are some things to knock off your checklist as we start the new year.

✅ Download ParentSquare to stay informed!

✅ If your student is a bus rider, make sure you download the SMARTTag app and ensure your child knows their bus route number.

✅ Attend Experience the Academy on 7/28 from 5:30-7:45 pm.
-Follow your child's schedule to meet their teachers and learn about each class.
-Wanting to donate school supplies to your child's teachers? These items will be accepted at the front office and are very appreciated!
-Spirit shirts and gently used uniforms will be sold beginning at 7:20 pm in the MPR.

Today's the day! From 4:00-6:00 pm in the Academy MPR, you can purchase gently used uniforms. We hope to see you there!

Our next uniform sales will be during New Knight Orientation for our brand new families, as well as Meet The Teacher. Be sure to check the PTO website for dates and times. https://academypto.org

Join us on 6/26 from 4-6 pm in the Academy multipurpose room to purchase gently used uniforms.

Uniform pieces are $5 each or 5 for $20. Cash and card are accepted.

Parents! Make sure your child checks the lost and found by the last day of school. We have a dozen jackets, water bottles, lunchboxes, and more!

As the year wraps up, do you have uniforms your child grew out of? Donate your gently used shirts back to the academy! You can drop these off to the front office, or bring them to our next uniform sale on 6/26 from 4:00-6:00 pm.

Tonight is a double-header in the media center. Join us from 5:30-6:30 for a Listening Session with Dr. Davis. This is a great opportunity to share your thoughts, ask questions, and engage in meaningful conversation. Dr. Davis is looking forward to connecting with you!

We also have our final PTO meeting of the school year from 6:30-7:30. We hope to see you there!

It's Teacher Appreciation Week and we are making sure your teachers feel all the recognition they deserve.

Tomorrow is School Supply Tuesday: as the year winds down, supply stock is too. Boost your 3rd or 4th hour classroom with supplies such as pencils, whiteboard markers, packs of scissors, tissues, and more!

For Snack Wednesday, look at our favorite things document on the PTO website and surprise your 5th or 6th hour teacher their favorite snack!

All week long at lunchtime, we have a table set up for students to write notes for their teachers. Stop by the table or drop off a note your student created to celebrate Thankful Thursday.

Lastly, Giving Friday. We want to celebrate each teacher with a gift card. On the PTO website, we have a gift card fund that will be dispersed to the teachers at the end of the week. Families that want to contribute are also welcome to give gift cards directly to their teachers.
