When I think of the most difficult times of my life, I give thanks. First, I survived—I’m still here! My fears humbled me, teaching me empathy for those who are struggling today. My challenges taught me to absorb skills that seemed so easy for others, and yet I learned. I can look back with regret and resentment, or I can uncover the gifts and shine the light of gratitude.
