A huge thank you to the professionals who came out to visit our 6th grade students on Career Day. Such a wonderful experience for our Skyhawks!

It was fun to join Alireza Bahremand a Virtual Reality Researcher, Ryan Felten an Optometrist, Karli Cameli a Firefighter and Mark Higbee a Police Lieutenant of Internal Affairs at Hermosa Vista Elementary School’s 6th Grade Career Day. The kids asked great questions and I am pleased to say our future looks bright!

We would like to send a special thank you to author Tony J. Perri and illustrator David K. Ridgeway for visiting our Kinder, 1st, and 2nd graders today and sharing their book Ollie and the Wishing Stone with us. The students really enjoyed the visit.
If you would like to place a post-visit order then please see the form below. All orders must be in no later than Wednesday, April 20th.

You can also still drop off your order form this afternoon if you were wanting to pay in cash. Mr. Perri will be here Monday to visit with our Kindergarten through 2nd grade students.

Just a reminder that author Tony Perri will be visiting Hermosa Vista's Kindergarten through 2nd grade students on Monday, April 18th. You may know Mr. Perri from his book Ollie and the Wishing Stone.
Please see the attached flyer to order your own signed copy of Ollie and the Wishing Stone or other fun Ollie goodies. Please note that all orders need to be placed before 3:00pm on Friday, April 15th.

We would like to thank author Liliana Leone for the virtual visits with our 1st-4th grade students to share her book series, The Five Eiffels. Her series is a wonderful mix of foreign language and art history told through fun picture books. Ms. Leone will be returning next Monday for a virtual visit with our Kindergarten classes. If anyone is interested in ordering her books you may do so by following the directions on the attached flyer.

We are so grateful to have Mrs. Quitno meeting the needs of all HV 6th graders with her creativity and enthusiasm both in and outside of the classroom!

We have our final numbers in from our Book Fair and we were able to raise over $1200 for our school library! This will allow us to update our library with new reading materials and complete some of our series that the students have been waiting on. Thank you to our amazing Hermosa Vista Community for making our Book Fair such a huge success!

This afternoon marks the end of our 2022 Book Fair. We want to send a huge THANK YOU to all of our students and families for all of the support and making this week such a success. It has been amazing having a Book Fair in our Library again and we hope you all enjoyed it as much as we did. Have a wonderful long weekend! We'll see you all back on Tuesday morning.

Hello Hermosa Vista families! Just a quick reminder that we have early dismissal for the rest of the week to allow for parent teacher conferences. Students will be released from school at 12:45 these days.
