Look what my student, Joyce, made! Joyce took my In a Dash class last month at the Florida Mancuso show. She simply cut her Dash blocks in half, scrambled them up, and then sewed them back together. Beautiful results! Love the bold batiks. Thanks for sharing Joyce!

It's done! I can't decide which block I like best. Block of the month quilt starting in February at Sharkys... Get help from me at Saturday Sit and Sew, too!

Finally completed all the applique animals for this block of the month shop sample... and at the request of Laurel who is going to get it quilted in 2 or 3 days like a little magic elf, I added batting in this step. It will make the applique look better, give the quilt some dimension. Very glad I recently purchased a pair of these duck billed scissors, very helpful tool. Anyway, I am turning this project over to her... I honestly thought this would take about 12 hours... ha! Just over 40 and all while major time under the weather!

And this is the ONLY way to make a flying goose! Do you see how the ruler with grooves on the back sits flush with my block? I am starting a Bloc Loc Club at Sharkys beginning next month. Come see how to make this block and many others. Free to join if you purchase a Bloc Loc ruler from us! Club meets at 6:00 pm on first Wednesday of the month and 4th Saturday morning of the month at 9:00. Free monthly pattern, demos, give aways, and show and tell!!

I am making a banner for the family that just bought my house. We are doing a quick closing because they are anxious to decorate for Christmas! I thought it would be fun for them to walk in and see this up to welcome them to their new home. By the way, I picked up the bunting set from Target for $3.00!!! Might have to go back and get some more 🎅

Made another quilted basket. Today I experimented with my own "in the hoop" edge to edge quilting designs . Fun to practice and have a useful product at the end of the day.

The finished project.

I made a quilted basket today... my goal was to practice using my new Snap Hoop Monster. Sure is easier to do all the re-hoopings with magnets rather than with screws. If you want one, I have them at Sharkys.

Fully lined, embroidered, quilted, zippered, and piped pillow to inspire customers at Sharkys. Kinda proud of myself 😍 Now where can I buy a 15" pillow insert? Shoulda thought about that in advance 😂

My happy place! Just did a big clean so I can have a playdate with a quilty friend this weekend. And I am taking a class on Friday. Heaven.

For some reason lots of quilters have stuffed frogs in their sewing rooms and I have always wanted one... so, my first project using my new machine... a quilted, patchwork, raggy edge frog! Quilted in the hoop but pieced and assembled using regular machine functions 🐸
