All Pierce girls interested in Volleyball, here is our updated schedule for open gym and tryouts. We hope to see you there!

Tryouts for the Middle School Gymnastics Team will take place on Wednesday, August 26th, from 6-8 pm. Enter Merrillville High School at entrance "P", and follow the signs to the gymnastics room. This team is open to 7th and 8th grade girls. You should have a knowledge of basic skills and be able to perform them. Please wear a leotard to the tryout, with shorts over the leotard. Please secure long hair. A parent or guardian must stay for the try out. Questions can be directed to Coach Roberts.

🏈 THE BATTLE OF BROADWAY CONTINUES! 🏈
This year’s annual rivalry between the Merrillville Pirates and the Andrean 59ers carries an even deeper meaning for our community.

After last week’s devastating derecho caused significant damage throughout Merrillville, the game could no longer be played at Merrillville High School. Our neighbors at Andrean High School stepped up to host the Battle of Broadway—even as their own school community continues to recover from the tornado that struck in June.

Two schools. One town. One community that has faced the power of severe storms—and continue to show the strength, resilience, and spirit of Merrillville.

MCSC School Closure Update

The Merrillville Community School Corporation (MCSC) will remain closed to students until further notice due to power outages affecting several of our schools and operational buildings.
We will continue to monitor conditions and work diligently to restore normal operations. Once conditions have improved and our facilities are ready to safely reopen, MCSC will provide parents and guardians with advance notice of the first day of school for students.
Thank you for your continued patience, support, and understanding. We are grateful for the strength and resilience of our Merrillville community as we work together through this situation.
