God says to give thanks in everything. That doesn’t mean you need to give thanks for everything. You don’t need to give thanks for that bad day. Or for that bad relationship. Or being passed over at work. Financial hardship. Whatever it is - you are not to give thanks for the difficulties, but rather in the difficulties.

That is a very important distinction, and one I think we often miss. Giving thanks in everything shows a heart of faith that God is bigger than the difficulties and that He can use them, if you approach Him with the right heart and spirit, for your good and His glory.

🌟Rest in the Storm: Finding Peace Amidst Adversities

Dear AoE students

We recognize that many of us are encountering storms in our lives—whether they be personal challenges, uncertainties, or concerns. Nevertheless, as followers of Christ, we hold firm to the assurance that God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in times of trouble.

In this stirring passage from Isaiah 41:10, we find solace and hope: "Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness."

Even in the midst of the trials we face, it's reassuring to recall that God walks with us. He empowers us, instills courage within us, and upholds us with His unwavering love. Just as Jesus calmed the storm on the sea, He is capable of calming the storms in our lives.

Today, we extend an invitation to reflect upon this scripture and to find repose in the presence of God. Let us place our trust in His faithfulness and encounter the peace that can only be provided by Him.
