FAQs:

Q: Can my homeschooler bring a friend who is not homeschooled?
A: Yes! Your homeschooler needs to purchase their ticket for them and input their information through the Zeffy link above.

Q: What are we supposed to wear?
A: Attire is semi-formal. Girls are encouraged to wear classy dresses and boys wear slacks and a button up shirt or Church attire.

Q: Are parents allowed in the venue?
A: No. For safety and security purposes, only approved chaperones may enter the venue.

Q: Will there be security?
A: YES! The perimeter will be secured with VFW veteran security and approved dad chaperones will also be outside the venue. Kids will be walked to their cars or parents for pickup. Safety is our number one priority.

Q: Will there be pictures inside?
A: Yes! We will have a full photo room with a selfie station and photographers on site!

Q: Will there be food?
Yes! A dinner buffet with dessert is included in the price of the ticket!

We hope schools throughout our area are getting excited about the American Freedom Tribute featuring The Traveling Vietnam Memorial Wall, coming to Meridian October 9–11 at East Mississippi Veterans Park 5955 Mst Meridian Ms!
This is more than an event—it is an extraordinary opportunity for students to walk among heroes, connect with history, and experience the human cost of freedom firsthand.
As we celebrate America’s Semiquincentennial—250 years of freedom, we invite educators to bring their students and become part of this once-in-a-generation history experience.
Students will have the opportunity to learn about:
🇺🇸 The Vietnam War and the 58,000+ names on the Memorial Wall
🇺🇸 Veterans and their sacrifices
🇺🇸 Gold Star and military families
🇺🇸 The conflicts and events that have shaped our nation
🇺🇸 The Cost of Freedom and why remembering matters
