MPSD Little Wildcat Pre-K Academy

Child must be 4 years old on or before September 1
• Child must live within the Meridian Public School District attendance zone
• Parent/guardian must complete the Pre-K screener application (scan QR code)
• Child must attend a scheduled screening appointment
• Parent/guardian must provide:
-Certified birth certificate
-Valid Mississippi Form 121 shot record
• Child must be completely potty trained

Our Little Wildcats had a great first week learning routines, making friends, and growing more independent each day!

We’re proud of our students, thankful for our staff, and grateful to our families for helping us start the year strong.

Thank you Central United Methodist Church- Meridian, MS Ladies Ministry for preparing a delicious breakfast for our staff! We appreciate you all so much for well wishes and nourishment as we enter a new school year!

Before welcoming students this week, our Little Wildcat teachers were busy learning, collaborating, and growing in preparation for the 2026–2027 school year! 💙🐾🌱

Through engaging professional development, our teachers participated in meaningful activities and discussions designed to strengthen instructional practices, build positive classroom environments, and better meet the needs of our youngest learners. REMINDER: Tomorrow is Early Release Wednesday

Today was filled with new faces, new friendships, learning, laughter, and a few brave goodbyes. Our students did an amazing job learning routines, exploring their classrooms, and taking their very first steps into an exciting school year.

Day 1 is complete, and we are Ready, Set, Growing! 🌱💙

We loved welcoming our Little Wildcats and their families to Little Wildcat Pre-K Academy. It was wonderful to see smiling faces, meet families, visit classrooms, and share important information as we prepare for an amazing school year.

Thank you to all of our parents and guardians for attending, bringing supplies, and helping us get our students ready for a smooth start. We are excited to partner with you as our Little Wildcats learn, grow, and shine!

The first day of Pre-K is Monday, August 10. All other schools in the district will welcome students on Friday, August 7 for their first day.
