One of the biggest things I prayed for going into this school year was JOY and PEACE. 🥹🩷🙏🏾

Not perfection. Not an easy year with no challenges. Just the ability to walk into my classroom with a peaceful heart, enjoy my babies, enjoy teaching again, and not allow the stressful moments to steal my joy.

And so far… that’s exactly what I’ve been feeling. 🥹✨ Joy. Peace. Hope.

I’m praying that this feeling continues throughout the ENTIRE school year—for me, my students, and every educator who needs it. May God continue to fill our classrooms and our hearts with joy and peace, even on the hard days. 🙏🏾🩷

Because why does one week of teaching feel like I just worked a 30-day shift?! 🥲 Between getting back into routines, learning my babies, repeating directions 847 times, and trying to keep everybody alive and learning… WE MADE IT! 😂🙌🏾

Now that I’m home, don’t ask me to do NOTHING. No laminating. No lesson planning. No “quick little teacher task.” I am officially CLOCKED OUT! 🤣

Teacher Struggles Thursday 🥲🍎

POV: It’s Friday of the FIRST week of school and somebody asks how you’re doing…

“I’m pretty tired… I guess I’ll go home now.” 😭😂

Because why does the first week of school feel like we’ve already worked a whole MONTH?! Between decorating, planning, organizing, paperwork, learning names, answering 47 questions at once, and trying to get these routines together… WE ARE TIRED. 😩

And the crazy part? Us teachers will neglect every single one of our own needs just trying to make sure that classroom and those babies are READY. 🥲😂 Sleep? Later. Food? Eventually. Sitting down? Never heard of her. 😭

By Friday, don’t ask me to do NOTHING after dismissal. I’m going HOME. 😂✌🏾

Wacky Wednesday 😂🍎

Student: “YOU CALLED MY MOM?!” 😳
Me: 😏 Sure did.

Baby, I told you I was gonna call her… you thought I was playing?! 😂📞 Parents and teachers are a TEAM, okayyy! Now let’s see what tomorrow’s behavior is giving. 😭🤣

Wacky Wednesday 🤪🍎

Why do teachers risk life, limb, and ALL bodily function just for a cute classroom?! 😭😂 Like ma’am… GET DOWN! It is NEVER that serious… but somehow it always is. 🤣

And the fact that my knees were hurting for TWO WEEKS after this?! 😭😭 All in the name of making the classroom cute for my babies. 🥲🩷

😂 I love that you’re so caring and want to check on your sibling, baby…but no. ☺️😂

Because why do students randomly ask to go visit their brother, sister, cousin, best friend, old teacher…like we’re taking a little field trip around the school?! 😭😂 Stay right here with me, friend!

Motivational Monday 💪🏾🩷

Teachers, the first few days aren’t just about learning names, passing out supplies, and getting into the curriculum—they’re about setting the tone for the ENTIRE year! 👏🏾

Be consistent. Practice those routines. Reinforce those expectations. Build those relationships. And don’t be afraid to stop, reset, and practice it AGAIN. 😭😂 What we allow now can quickly become what they expect later!

A little extra patience and consistency in the beginning can save us a WHOLE lot of stress later. 🥴😂 We got this, teachers! 💪🏾🍎✨

Proverbs 11:25 is such a beautiful reminder that what we pour into others has a way of pouring back into us. 💕 Whether it’s kindness, encouragement, generosity, love, or simply showing up for someone—God sees it all.

As we head into a new week, may we be the reason someone feels encouraged, supported, loved, and refreshed. And may God refresh us right back when we need it most. 🙏🏾🩷

A little late posting because baby… I was BEYOND exhausted from this week yesterday 😭😂 By the time I made it home, I had absolutely NOTHING left in me!

Buttttt, I’m happy to say that our first day of school went really well! 🥹🩷 My new babies came in, we started learning our routines, getting to know each other, and settling into what will be our little classroom family for the year. 🫶🏾

Of course, we have some things to work on (because it IS only Day 1 😂), but overall, I’m feeling really good about this group! I just have a feeling this is going to be a GREAT school year! ✏️📚✨

Day 1 down… a whole lot more memories to make! 🥹🍎🩷
