looking into Destination Reunions

i was thinking of starting an emergency fund for our class/ classmates

i have been seeing posts about monies needed for medical expenses, funerals, emergencies, etc. and thought it would be practical to have an account to help our peers if the situations arise(if we don't use any of the funds we can set up a scholarship or use it for our reunions, however the majority sees fit)

what do you think about this? how would we go about this? could we set up a paypal or bank account? i appreciate any input
