“Hi friends,

I'm sure many of you have seen the effects of supply chain issues in the last few months, but infant formula is one of the areas that we need to pay special attention to.

Did you know that many babies have allergies or sensitivities that require them to be on a certain formula? Or that even for babies who have neither of these issues, the sudden switch to a new formula can cause digestive issues and discomfort? Even with those issues aside, there are families that are struggling to get any infant formula. Before 12 months, a baby MUST have access to enough human milk or infant formula to make up the bulk of their nutrition, so these families are in a very tough spot.

Please take the time to sign this petition, if you are able. If you are a parent who has unopened, unexpired formula, even samples, which you do not need please consider donating or checking local fb groups to see if anyone is in need. If you are a chestfeeding/pumping parent and have an oversupply, please look into milk banks in your area, if you are comfortable donating.”

Some perspective today.
I know their are toxic environments in all corners of parenthood, especially when it comes to how you choose to feed your child. However, no amount of discourse can truly change our reality until parents and children are protected.
Please remember to vote in favor of those who will demand better parental leave and access to better and affordable health care.
