I had the opportunity to present my research poster at Research Day at the University of Wisconsin–Stout.
My project focused on improving warehouse efficiency using Automated Vertical Storage and Retrieval Systems (VLM) to reduce travel time, labor cost, space utilization, and picking errors in modern warehouses.
This study highlights how traditional picking processes contain significant non-value-added time and how vertical automation can transform warehouse operations by improving productivity, accuracy, and cost performance. The research connects principles of Lean, Six Sigma, and Operations Management with real industry warehouse challenges.
I am sincerely grateful to Dr. Eli Aba and Katherina Sawall, Senior Continuous Improvement Manager, for their guidance, support, and valuable insights throughout this research.
Thankful for the opportunity to present my work, receive feedback, and engage with faculty and peers.
