Happy birthday to these two incredible young women this week—Lou-Anné (from France) and Anné-Leez (from South Africa)! I’ve not only had the privilege of serving as their local au pair coordinator, but I’m proud to call them my friends. Their character, dedication to helping others, and genuine kindness are far beyond their years.

​Case in point: when a tornado struck my hometown, they both reached out immediately to ask how they could help. They jumped straight into action, making food and baking treats. Lou-Anné even managed to navigate the damage to reach our house and deliver meals to Dave while he was working with family and friends to clear our yard.

​I’m so deeply blessed to have these young ladies in our lives! Happy birthday, Anna and LuLu! ❤️❤️🎈🎈🎉🎉🌺🌺

Saying goodbye to amazing au pairs and welcoming the next group arriving in the next two weeks—my favorite and most emotional part of being an LCC! 💙✈️

​Transitions like this always bring such a mix of emotions. On one hand, it's hard watching incredible au pairs finish their program year and say see-you-later to their host families. The bonds formed, the culture shared, and the memories made over the past year - my ❤️.

​On the other hand, the excitement in the air for our incoming au pairs is palpable! In just two weeks, several new, brave, adventure-seeking young adults will arrive to start their journey, embrace a new country, and join wonderful host families in our community.

​To my departing au pairs Stefanie, Alyssa and Lou-Annè: Congratulations on your next steps! Thank you for everything you gave to your host families and our local group. You left a lasting memory & until we see again!

Au Pair Monthly Meeting: Lake Winneconne Boating Day! 🌊⛵

​We had a wonderful time for our monthly au pair meeting on Saturday. A huge thank you to host dad Seth for welcoming everyone and being such a fantastic boating host.

​The weather delivered—it was a beautiful, warm July day, and we lucked out on brighter skies. Everyone had a blast relaxing on Lake Winneconne, enjoying the sunshine, and getting out on the water together.

​Grateful for wonderful host families, au pairs, great company, and perfect summer days! ☀️

⚽🌍 There’s something special about the FIFA World Cup bringing people together across cultures, countries, and generations!

One of my favorite parts of being a Local Consultant is seeing host families and au pairs bond over their love of soccer (football) — whether they’re hosting watch parties at home, cheering alongside fellow au pairs, or sharing traditions and team pride from around the world.

This past Friday, one lucky au pair, Italian Giulia, even road-tripped with her host family from Wisconsin to Kansas City to experience a World Cup match in person! What an incredible memory that will last a lifetime. ❤️⚽

Moments like these are what the au pair program is all about: building connections, celebrating differences, and creating shared experiences that bring the world a little closer together.

The FIFA World Cup is so much more than a tournament—it is a global celebration of culture, community, and country. For host families welcoming au pairs from across the globe, this soccer season offers a beautiful window into the heart of their au pair's homeland.
One of my Brazilian au pairs, Maria. has brought unmatched energy of o País do Futebol (the country of football) straight to her host kids & entire family through a mix of vibrant crafts, traditional flavors (from local Brazilian restaurant) and unforgettable game-day memories.

Such fun for everyone!
