And this makes our work worth it!
I spent the whole month of March putting together nutrition programs and the “Bee Active Challenge” for Holly Harshman Elementary 4th grade on their “Fun Fridays”. Luckily, I had a great co-worker (Claire Williamson) and volunteer (Anna Johnston), that assisted.
The students tasted parfaits, hummus and whole grain crackers, and homemade ranch dressing with vegetables. It was a lot of work prepping for 150ish students each week, but at the end of the program, I got this wonderful card from all of the students and the evaluations from Mrs. Thacker. This is what our programs are all about—teaching healthy habits!
