I am first a story hunter, then a storyteller. The formats also change and work together to pull in different audiences. Case studies. White papers. Opeds. Tweets.

There are other titles -- copywriter, ghostwriter, blogger, brand journalist, traditional journalist, content designer, message strategist, all-around word nerd ... Those change with time, trends and technology. Media releases. News and feature articles. Webinars. Speeches. Blog posts. Isn't it remarkable all the forms a story can take these days?

Excellent advice. There is a point when it's good to challenge kids with books they don't expect to love (with hope that they'll be surprised). But the best starting point is to show them that in nonfiction books are answers to questions they already have about topics that already interest them, and in fiction are stories full of fun stuff to think about, comfort, vicarious experiences and straight-up joy. I would add a recommendation to keep reading to kids -- and asking them to read to you -- long after their littlest years. It's good for both of you.

What are you and your kids reading right now?

The challenges of learning from home this semester have prompted school districts across the nation to adopt temporary...

That beauty, by the way, is a proboscis monkey, endangered and native to Borneo. I found him at Pixabay.com, then added a quote that seemed so right.
