Hey guys!!!
Another post from me. This is Susan Cooper for those that aren't aware of my Facebook name. I have been talking to folks about getting MSCLS up and running again. Got a few questions.
1. Is there interest out there in this happening?
2. If so, who would be interested in officer positions?
3. What are available meeting locations?
4. Anyone interested in being a speaker?
Let me know. Hope to talk to you soon and maybe see some faces.

Good Afternoon All,
Here is a message from Susan regarding our April meeting:
Greetings Everyone,
This was something we really didn’t want to do, but here it goes. We will be cancelling the April MSCLS meeting. With all the rules in place about meeting size, having to be 6ft apart from one another, and now the “safer-at-home" order, this is what needs to be done to help keep everyone healthy. Hopefully the May meeting will happen, and we will be back to business as usual. Stay safe all. Hope to see everyone in May.
Thanks,
From The Officers of MSCLS
Even though you rarely see me, I am the person who reported a positive pregnancy test to the couple who have been trying to have a baby for over a year. I am the person who found that one abnormal cell in your blood that told the doctor you have leukemia. I am the person who reported a high troponin to the patient with a hot MI. I am the person who discovered the genetic mutation that tailored a successful treatment plan to put your cancer into remission. I am the person who discovered the Staphylococcus aureus on your cheek is really MRSA and determined a specific antibiotic to use on it so it’ll go away. I am the person who determined if your mother, father, sister, brother, or spouse was a match for you when you needed a new kidney. I am the person who also determined the correct blood to give you when your hemoglobin was critically low. I am the person who continues to watch over every patient to make sure you have a long and fruitful life. Ask a doctor or nurse if they could do their job without me. I am a MEDICAL LABORATORY SCIENTIST and I am here to protect YOU! HAPPY MEDICAL LABORATORY PROFESSIONALS WEEK!!!!
