Join us for a discussion with Kristin Pedrozo ’22, Adelaide Turpin Gidden ’22, Liz Houck ’22, and Mary Elizabeth Whitmire ’22: the four artists behind Charm (.creatives), a creative collective they formed after graduating from Rhodes. 🎨

The panel, “Making Time for Making Things,” will explore the challenges of sustaining an artistic practice after college and the ways friendship, accountability, and community can help make space for creativity in the midst of work and young adulthood. The conversation will be moderated by Professor Joel Parsons ’07. ✨

The discussion coincides with Charm’s group exhibition, Strange Celebrations, on view at Ugly Art Co. ( ) from October 8–21. 🩷

Billboard has named the Curb Institute to its 2026 list of Top Music Business Schools, recognizing its curriculum, industry connections, and alumni success.

This year also marks the Institute’s 20th anniversary! 🎉

Celebrate with us at the 20th Anniversary Concert on Friday, Nov. 13, at 7 p.m. during Rhodes Homecoming Weekend, featuring the Rhodes Jazz Ensemble, Marcella Simien and the Unapologetic music collective.

From Rhodes to the big stage! 🎸🎙️

Zoë Dominguez ’25, Rhodes alumna and former Mike Curb Institute for Music student, is officially part of this year’s Mempho lineup. After finding her sound in Memphis, she released her debut album last year, Out the House, which received praise from fans and critics alike. 💽 ✨

Now, Mempho Music Festival has recognized her talent and brought her on to take the stage on Friday, Oct. 9. They describe her style as a combination of “hooky melodies, compelling rhythms, and spot-on lyrics to craft songs that are at once provocative and poignant; empathetic and enraged…” Now, we’re sure adding that to our playlist! 🎇 🎶
