Thursday, August 27, from 6 to 8 p.m., Heffernan Hall fills up with admissions reps from colleges and universities across the country for our Junior & Senior College Fair.

It's a rare chance for your son to walk the room and ask exactly what he wants to know about programs, campus life, and what it takes to get in. He'll leave with a much clearer sense of where he belongs.

There's a kind of gratitude that never leaves your head. Today, our students didn't let it stay there.

During today's Brothers' Way Advisory, they were asked to think of someone who shaped who they are, then ask themselves a harder question: Does that person actually know?

Most of the time, the honest answer is no. The people who shape us rarely hear about it. So today, instead of just thinking it, students wrote it down, to be mailed to addresses across Memphis and beyond.

Somewhere this week or next, someone is going to open their mailbox and find out exactly how much they've meant to someone else, and the power in that is beyond words.

Two full days of orientation down, and one step closer to Tuesday. Tonight, the Class of 2030 was joined by the special men in their lives for one of our most cherished traditions: Father and Son Freshman Dinner.

We were honored to welcome Pat K***s ‘87 as this year’s guest speaker. His message echoed the one we share every August — make these four years count, because they will fly by.
