Christian Brothers High School Providing a transformative student experience for young men in Memphis since 1871

The mission of Christian Brothers High School is to provide young men a college-preparatory education in the Catholic and Lasallian traditions. Thus, we welcome, encourage, and support religious, ethnic, and economic diversity; and we acknowledge the importance of service to the poor as we prepare students to become responsible adults in the global community.

Region doesn't hand out anything easy, and this group knew what was on the line: finish in the top two to punch their ticket. Yesterday, they did exactly that!

Reece Shipley ’29 set the pace with a 70, good for 3rd place overall. Grey Collard ’27 and Tristan Stephens ’28 backed him up with matching 72s, giving the Brothers the steady scoring they needed to get it done.

A tremendous result for a team that keeps showing up for each other to finish as regional runner-up. On to State! Go Brothers!

Last Friday, we got to celebrate the members of the Class of 2027 for our band and cheerleaders. There is no Tom Nix atmosphere without these amazing young men and women! Your impact at 5900 is immeasurable.

The Brothers placed 5th out of 40 teams in Cary, NC over the weekend after an incredible performance at the Adidas Cross Country Challenge early in the season.

There were 321 total runners and our Brothers held strong amongst them. Standout performances across the board, including two sub-16 minute finishes from Noah Mullenix '27 (8th, 15:32) and Pearce Toms '27 (27th, 15:56). This team is just getting started.

Encouragement isn't always the loudest voice in the room, a high five after the big shot, the crowd going wild. Sometimes, it's quieter than that.

It's making sure someone else feels seen. It's naming the potential in a friend before they can see it in themselves.

Thank you to Andrew Arbogast — Army veteran, proud Memphian, and owner of Arbo's Cheese Dip — for sharing that message with our students at this morning's Men for Tomorrow assembly.

Congratulations to our Student of the Month for Encouragement, Christian Cuneo '27, and our Student-Athlete of the Month, Will Langston '27. Thank you both for showing us what it means to be a Brothers' Boy.

Discovery Days return to CBHS next month, giving 8th grade students and their families a firsthand look at life as a Brothers' Boy. Whether you're just beginning to explore high schools or already dreaming in Purple and Gold, Discovery Day lets you walk our halls, meet our community, and picture yourself as part of our family.

Discovery Days are available to current 8th grade students and families from public and independent schools that do not already have a scheduled visit day at CBHS. If that's you, this is where your journey starts.

Touring in the fall gives you a distinct leg up: families who visit early are positioned for priority decision, opening the door to the fullest range of opportunities, including tuition assistance, so there's no better time to see it for yourself.

Schedule your visit at www.cbhs.org/discover.

Saturday morning, dozens of CBHS dads braved the Memphis heat right alongside their sons, trading weekend plans for work gloves and sweat equity across the city.

That's the story of this first-ever Father-Son Freshman Day of Service, with our students learning early what it means to be a Brothers' Boy. Because here, service isn't a requirement to fulfill. It's a habit we build, together, starting on day one.

Congratulations to Daniel Donato '27 and Pearce Toms '27, who were named Semifinalists in the 2027 National Merit Scholarship Competition!

These young men join an elite group of just 16,000 students nationwide — approximately one percent of high school students who take the PSAT/NMSQT — who have earned this distinction. They now have the opportunity to compete for some 6,700 National Merit Scholarships worth nearly $24 million, to be offered next spring. Well done, Brothers!
