This book had another life before this one. It came out in 2009 under a different title, and I have lived a great deal since then.

Rest is not the same as stopping.

Plenty of us stop. We sit down. We put on something we are not really watching. And the whole time the mind is still on the clock, running the list, rechecking the thing that was handled two days ago.

That is not rest. That is sitting still while working.

Real rest takes a decision, not just an empty afternoon. It is choosing to leave it alone on purpose.

Today, take one hour with the phone in another room. Not the whole day. One hour.

See what your body does with it.

Desire it. Decide it. Write it. Picture it. Support it. Confess it, decree it, declare it. Rest in it. Never leave home without it. Expect it.

Eleven chapters. Every one ends with self study questions, so you are not just reading it, you are working it.

I wrote it plain on purpose. What kept most of you outside was never doubt. It was somebody making it sound complicated.

Every single thing around you started as something nobody could see.

The chair. The building. The business somebody built off a napkin. All of it lived in a head first, and then it showed up.

So when you tell me the thing you want does not exist yet, I hear you saying it is right on schedule.

Hebrews 11:3 says what is seen was not made out of what was visible. That is the whole mechanic, and it has not changed.

Today, write one sentence describing the thing as though it already happened. Present tense. Put it somewhere you will read it in the morning.

It brings the invisible to the visible.™

Hi.

Let me ask you something. Where are you standing when you make your decisions?

Most of us decide from the ground floor. What is in the account today. How the last attempt went. What somebody said about us years ago that we never fully put down.

That is a real position. It is also the lowest one available to you, and it is working off old information.

2 Corinthians 5:7 says we walk by faith and not by sight. Not by what the ground floor can see.

Before you decide anything this week, ask one question first. What does this look like from God's side of it.

That is backwards, and it is why so many of us stall out. Faith is not a mood you manufacture on Sunday. It is a force. It works whether you feel it or not, the same way gravity works whether you are thinking about it or not.

We walk from God's position, and we use the force of our faith to do it. It brings the invisible to the visible.™
