Almost every American child has been asked, "What do you want to be when you grow up?" We were used to the freedom of choosing your own career path. You could be a fireman, doctor, lawyer, teacher, scientist, engineer, train conductor, or more.
The concept of the American Dream is that we will continue to have the freedom of choice. The question is, " Will the job our youth desires still exist?" With the advancement of technology and the capability of AI, jobs may look different.
As we explore and pursue our dreams, it is important to do a few checks.
1. Will this job role exist 15, 10, or even 3 years from now?
2. Should I help my child pick a dream that will prepare them for possible market changes?
3. Should I equally teach my child the value of entrepreneurship to give them options in a challenging economic climate?
