The Arlington Education Foundation joins the entire Town of Arlington in mourning the loss of Superintendent Jeff Mayo. His dedication and passion for education have left an indelible mark on our community, and his leadership will be deeply missed.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, and colleagues during this difficult time. Our thoughts and prayers are with them as we remember and honor his incredible legacy.

With heavy hearts, we share the sad news of the passing of our Superintendent, Mr. Jeff Mayo. Today, we learned from his family that Mr. Mayo lost his courageous battle with cancer. As our entire district of employees, families and students begins to process this loss, we wanted to reach out to our school community as soon as we learned.

Please keep Mr. Mayo’s family, friends and our entire school family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. Let's come together to honor his remarkable life and the lasting legacy he leaves at Arlington Community Schools. Thank you.

Arlington High School welcomes Chris Davis as new principal The current Executive Director of Operations for Haywood County Schools will step into the role of AHS principal effective July 1, 2024.

🎉 Congratulations to Arlington Elementary’s Tonya Hawkins for not just being our Principal of the Year but a REGION-LEVEL SEMI-FINALIST for Tennessee’s Principal of the Year Contest!! 🎉

Mrs. Hawkins will now advance to the next stage of the state-level competition, where even more people will see the impact of her leadership at AES. We are so proud of her accomplishment!
