We were excited to see Northside Square featured in Building Together, a newsletter by Mayor Young for the City of Memphis.

Mayor Young reflected on Northside Square as a bold and unconventional investment – one that may not fit traditional development models, but speaks directly to Memphis’s values.
He emphasized that bringing the project to life required partners willing to invest patiently and lead with purpose, placing community impact above short-term returns.

Rabbi Micah Greenstein of Temple Israel (Memphis) joined the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at Northside Square and shared a powerful reflection on unity and community development.

In a video posted on YouTube, he said, “After my African American ministerial colleague offered a beautiful invocation, I looked around at true community. Black, white, public, private, multifaith, inter everything, I thought how this scene is the living embodiment of our Torah portion, Vayera, and God appeared”
