Today, our scholars experienced OWL Fest — Opportunities With Literacy and celebrated one of the most powerful gifts we can give a child: BOOKS! 📖✨

Our students explored books, made their own selections, and left ready to continue building their home libraries and their love of reading.

Because at Scenic Hills, literacy doesn’t stop when students leave the classroom. We want our Bobcats reading, wondering, imagining, and learning EVERYWHERE! 🏠📚

A HUGE thank you to the Governor’s Early Literacy Foundation and everyone who made today possible.

901 DAY + PAJAMAS + BOOKS = A PAW-SOME MORNING AT THE HILL! 🐾📚💤

On Tuesday, September 1st, we’re celebrating 901 Pillows & Pajamas! 💙💚

At exactly 9:01 AM, our Bobcats will grab their pillows, blankets, and books and STOP, DROP & READ throughout the halls of Scenic Hills! 📖✨

And this one isn’t just for our scholars and staff…

👀 PARENTS & COMMUNITY MEMBERS, COME READ WITH US!

Put on those comfy PJs, bring a pillow or blanket, and help us show our Bobcats that MEMPHIS READS! 🙌🏽📚

The routines are clicking. The confidence is growing. And the learning? It’s getting REAL! 🔥🐾

Our Bobcats are reading, writing, solving, explaining, collaborating, creating, and discovering—and we’re seeing more independence every day. 💙📚🧠

Week 1: We arrived.
Week 2: We settled in.
Week 3: WE’RE LEARNING! 💪🏽

🎓🐾 TODAY WAS A BIG DAY AT THE HILL—KINDERGARTEN INDEPENDENCE DAY! 💙

For the past few weeks, we’ve been waiting, watching, teaching, and practicing. Today, it was time to see if our youngest Bobcats were ready to take the next step.

They absolutely were! 🙌🏽

Our families gave their morning hugs and watched from the main hallway as their Kindergarten scholars independently made their way to their classrooms. 🎒🐾

Some walked confidently. Some took their time. And we’re pretty sure a few parents had a harder time letting go than our scholars did. 🥹❤️

Every independent step said, “I know where I’m going. I can do this!”

🐾 WEEK ONE AT THE HILL! 💙

Bobcat families, what a first week! From the moment our scholars walked through the doors, our classrooms were filled with learning, laughter, exploration, and lots of Bobcat energy!

Our scholars have been reading, writing, solving problems, working with classmates, learning classroom routines, and already showing us just how BRILLIANT they are. 📚✏️🧮

And can we talk about those smiles? 😍 Week One reminded us that school should be a place where children feel safe, loved, challenged, and excited to learn.

Parents and families, THANK YOU for helping us start the year strong. The foundation is being set, the routines are taking shape, and now it’s time to BUILD! 💪🏽

One week down. A whole year of brilliance ahead! 💙🐾

We missed our Bobcats more than words can say, and seeing their smiling faces back at The HILL has been the best part of our week!

From morning greetings and classroom learning to laughter with friends and unforgettable moments, this is what being a Bobcat is all about. Our teachers and staff are excited to welcome scholars back for another year of growing, achieving, and Building Brilliance together.

The first day of school is finally here, and we can’t wait to welcome our Bobcats back to The HILL!

🚪 Doors open at 8:00 a.m. We are ready for a year filled with learning, laughter, growth, and brilliance.
