Dear Westhaven teachers,

It's that time of year once again when we pause to thank you for all of your Hard Work. We hope that you felt appreciated throughout the year as we embarked on this NEW JOURNEY!!! This has been a difficult year as we navigated ALL of our students returning to In-Person Learning and ALL of the challenges of Covid-19. In spite of these difficulties and challenges, everyone faced them with courage and commitment. We could never thank you enough but this week we hope that you feel SEEN, VALUED, and APPRECIATED.

Teacher Appreciation Week starts Monday, and we want to show the 901 why MSCS teachers are the BEST! Get ready to SET THE STAGE!

From May 2-6, MSCS teachers will have the opportunity to dress like their favorite characters according to the daily movie genres and post with the hashtag for a chance to score some awesome prizes!!

The daily movie genres are:
Monday: “Mission POSSIBLE” - Dress like an action star
Tuesday: “Leadership Lion Kings/Queens” - Dress like your Favorite Animated Character
Wednesday: “Cue the High School Musical” - Dress like any character from your favorite musical
Thursday: “A Star is Born (Reimagined)” - Dress Red Carpet Ready!
Friday: “Friday Night Lights” - Bring the Bling in your MSCS Colors (red, blue, gold, and BLING) and Grizzlies gear.

“March Madness” Literacy Night was a huge success! We would like to thank parents and students for coming out! Shoutout to Mrs Farwell’s homeroom for having the most participants and winning the party and “Breath of Fresh Air” for your teacher! See you on March 30 at Family Math Science and Data night!

We are so excited about our first in-person family engagement event of the school year!!! Family Literacy Night! Tomorrow, Wednesday March 2 at 4:30! Awesome reading games and activities, giveaways and even a free throw shooting booth!! The theme is March Madness! Don’t forget to wear your favorite jersey or cheer gear to school tomorrow!! Which class will win the party for the most in attendance???
