United Public Adjusters & Appraisers, Inc. "Helping Those With Property Damage Claims." Exercise Your Right to Representation
•When disaster strikes, you need someone on your side.

Public Insurance Adjusters representing Commercial & Residential Property Owners/Managers to ensure their Water or Fire damage claim is properly managed & streamlined in order to receive a speedy insurance recovery! 1-800-718-LOSS (5677) You are entitled to your own experts. While it is your responsibility to prove your loss to your insurance company, this process is both multifaceted and elongate

d. Unlike the insurance company’s adjuster, who represents the carrier’s best interest, our loyalty is to you. The burden of proof lies with you, the policyholder, not the insurance company and their representatives. Unfortunately, many policyholders are not aware of this and simply agree to whatever the insurance adjuster offers. This can lead to inadequate settlement checks, or worse, denied claims.Having our firm on your side eliminates the inherent conflict of interest that exists when one person represents both you and your insurance company. Personalized service and proven expertise are the hallmarks of our reputation. Our primary goal is to assure professional results by maximizing the policyholders' ultimate recovery while providing peace of mind throughout this complex process. We will meet with the insurance company representatives and handle all details and negotiations essential to you receiving a proper settlement. Maximize Your Settlement To The Fullest
•Preparing an insurance claim is a convoluted and complex task. There are just too many details and variables which arise that can be easily overlooked. The decision to use a Public Adjuster has very little to do with whether or not you believe the insurance company will or will not try to be fair. Public Adjusters will almost always obtain much greater settlements than individuals, not only due to their skill in evaluating, estimating, and appraising, but also because of their experience with the “ins and outs” of the insurance industry. The Team That Stays United On Your Behalf
•When you have United Public Adjusters & Appraisers Inc. representing your interests in the insurance process, you don’t just have one specialist representing you, you have a team. You will have an experienced specialist arrive to evaluate your contents and substantiate the claim. You will also have a diligently skilled building estimator review structural damage and provide real-world estimates for replacing what has been damaged. Our united approach to the claim process will ensure you leave nothing behind in your insurance claim and that you will be fully reimbursed in the shortest time possible without any out-of-pocket expenses.

👀 LA County is suing State Farm. The state wants its license pulled for a year.

The county's lawsuit alleges delays, denials and underpayments on Eaton and Palisades wildfire claims. Separately, California regulators are pushing for millions in fines and a one year suspension of the company's ability to write new policies in the state.

Inside the filings: one homeowner, 20 months into a fight over smoke toxin remediation, still not home. Another with eight adjusters on a single claim and an offer covering about a third of the rebuild cost.

We see versions of those same situations here, on claims that never make the news. What's different in California is scale. When 11,000 households file at once, a regulator can pull 220 files and see the pattern. One family with a stalled claim never gets that kind of scrutiny.

Nobody should need a wildfire and a lawsuit to be treated fairly under a policy they've paid for.

State Farm disputes the allegations and says it has paid more than $6.2 billion on 2025 LA wildfire claims.

Miami just passed New York City in cost of living. First time on record.

According to a recent MSN report, the Miami metro area is now more expensive than greater New York. Florida homeowners are paying an average of about $8,292 a year for insurance, the highest in the country and roughly 4x what New York homeowners pay.

For years, moving south meant no state income tax and a lower cost of living. That math is changing as insurance, housing costs and property taxes continue to rise.

At United Public Adjusters, we pay close attention to the insurance side of that equation. When a homeowner is paying $8,000+ a year for coverage, the real question is what happens when they actually need to use it.

Two questions:
1. If you moved from New York to Florida, has the cost of homeowners insurance changed the financial equation more than you expected?

2. If you’ve had a property claim in either state, did your coverage perform the way you expected when you needed it?

Curious to hear some real numbers.

Streets became rivers this morning.

A fast-moving storm swept through parts of NYC and North Jersey, bringing heavy rain and flooding that left homes and businesses underwater.

If your property was affected, document before you clean:

📱 Take photos and video
📏 Record the water line
🚫 Keep damaged items
🧾 Save every receipt
👀 Watch for damage you can’t immediately see

Business owners, track closures and lost income too.

The water may be going down. Your claim is just beginning.

🌪 A tornado just came ashore in Atlantic Beach.

Not Kansas. Not Oklahoma. Nassau County. 🌊

It spun up over the water and moved onto the sand at the Sun and Surf Beach Club, right in the middle of a 30 minute tornado warning for Nassau and Queens.

Storms like this do not announce themselves. They show up, do their damage in minutes, and leave you sorting out what comes next.

Stay safe out there, Long Island.

🌧️ Heads up, New York and New Jersey. Heavy rain and flooding are headed our way.

The National Weather Service has a Flood Watch in effect for NYC, southern Westchester, Nassau, western Suffolk, and northeast New Jersey from 2 PM today until 2 AM Friday.

Rainfall totals of 1.5 to 2.5 inches are expected, with rates reaching as high as 2 inches per hour. The heaviest rain is expected between 6 PM and midnight.

Before the worst of it moves in, take a few minutes to protect your home:
🪣 Clear your gutters and the storm drain by your curb
📦 Move valuables and important belongings off the basement floor
📸 Take photos of your home and property before the rain starts

That last step matters more than many people realize. Photos taken before any damage occurs can be valuable evidence if you end up needing to file an insurance claim.

Stay safe and stay dry. If tonight gets messy, we’re a phone call away.

Great Vistage meeting at our office today with a powerful group of local CEOs and business owners. 👏

There’s something valuable about getting high-integrity leaders in the same room to share ideas, challenge each other, and talk through the things that come with running a business.

And based on the food spread, we may have taken the “working lunch” part a little too seriously. 😂

Big conversations. Big ideas. And an even bigger lunch. 🍽️

🌩️ WHEN THE SKY GIVES YOU A WARNING…

This massive shelf cloud rolled over Long Island yesterday, and it was a pretty clear sign that severe weather was right behind it. 👀

The first half of the video shows the cloud moving into Long Beach.

The second half shows what came next: 🌧️ heavy rain and fast-rising street flooding right outside our Melville office.

Conditions can change in minutes, and storm damage can happen just as fast. ⚠️

If your home or business was affected, document the damage as soon as it’s safe to do so. 📸

⏳😟 $8.8 MILLION A DAY TO SAY "STILL REVIEWING"

Every day your homeowners claim sits unpaid, your insurance company earns interest on the money.

A new analysis puts a number on it: about $8.8 million a day across the industry.

You paid the premiums. Every day the claim waits, that money is working somewhere other than your repairs.
