🎉 Acceptance season is starting and that can bring both excitement and pressure. If you’re seeing classmates receive rolling admissions or direct admissions offers, remember: their timeline doesn’t need to become your timeline. Take the time to carefully review your application, proofread everything, and submit work that represents you well. A thoughtful application is more important than a rushed one. Before you hit submit: have you done your final application check?

Many students don’t realize that colleges aren’t just looking at your junior year. They see a 4-year arc and the context of your high school years. Here’s what they’re looking for➡️

As Rafiki said…”It is time.” Tonight is the first college planning meeting for junior parents at my own daughter’s high school, so I’m right there with the parents feeling all the emotions: excitement, nerves, and “how are we here already?!”
It is important to attend these events, read emails from your school counselors, and talk to your child about following their school’s policies and procedures surrounding college applications.
If you feel overwhelmed about lists, testing, or what your child should be doing this spring and summer, you don’t have to figure it out alone. This is the time to get a clear plan in place.
Send me a message if you need support walking through this season with a step-by-step plan.
