Our EMT night class put their trauma training to the test this week with dynamic, hands-on scenarios. Students had the honor of receiving feedback from EFSC Medical Director Dr. Dudley and tackled a realistic tub and toilet extrication that kept the training practical and real. Great work by everyone involved in making this a strong learning experience.

There’s something really powerful about seeing second semester paramedic students step into Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) — that moment when it all starts feeling real. Pediatrics is a different kind of intensity, and getting that exposure now is huge for their growth as team leaders.

The fact that you had instructors from your local community partners and EFSC respiratory therapy seniors there? That’s exactly what collaborative healthcare education should look like. Real-world, interdisciplinary, community-supported. That’s the kind of experience that makes confident medics.

Today's EFSC Backyard BBQ event was successfully supported with our EMT Interns responding to multiple medical incidents. Well done!!!!
