Well, I’m jumping ship from GoDaddy’s web hosting after 14-years. And, I plan to NEVER build a website on a hosting site’s proprietary template ever again. You can’t take it with you if you want to migrate your site elsewhere. I did know that but trusted GoDaddy that it would never be an issue. My bad. I’ve signed up for a new hosting service and am going through a crash course in WordPress, Elementor, and WooCommerce. So far I’ve deleted two practice sites trying to learn the first two. I’m starting a third today. 🤞I watched a WooCommerce video yesterday about how to add products and it’s close enough to GoDaddy’s process that I’m not worried. I just have to get the basic, static pages created, and move my domain name, before my hosting term with them ends. It’s coming up quick 😖. No pressure…

Well, GoDaddy closed the ticket for the sideways photos on my, and a lot of other web sites they host, that only appear so on Apple products. They “claim” it’s fixed. Gee, they must have tested it on one of the few, select iPhones where they appear normal. Mine and my families’ iPhones aren’t included.

Have they fixed their known issue with broken links between variation photos and the ordering drop down menu which still affects 11 of my products yet? Nope… Although, they do keep offering suggestions for ways I can personally fix it that literally involves deleting the affected products, and all their variations, and then rebuilding all those product pages from scratch 🤦‍♀️. I tested it on 3. One worked, but that product didn’t have any variations. The other two did and it didn’t fix either one. That’s an hour of my time I’ll never get back. Much as I truly don’t want to move my web site to another hosting service, and rebuild the whole thing from scratch, it’s starting to look like I might have to. Ugh!

I sincerely apologize for the premature claim that my website was fixed. While I did fix the more obvious issues, there are some more I only discovered by chance in the past few days. Unfortunately, they affect ordering for 19 products in the e-commerce section. And, if you view my site on an iPhone, odds are good a lot of my photos will appear sideways. My web hosting service tells me these are all known issues resulting from their recent migration to a new platform, and they are "working on it..."

Here goes! I have fixed everything I can after GoDaddy migrated my site to their new platform. It's working great on everything except iPhones. If you are an iPhone user visiting my web site and random photos appear sideways, PLEASE let me know. This is something GoDaddy's developers have to fix but I have to first prove to them it's more widespread than my circle of family and friends. , handmadegifts, , , , via

Are you one of my regular catnip toy people? I have a small, but very healthy, catnip patch almost ready for the first major cut back. It’s protected from the little neighborhood domestic panther catnip ju**ie by a fence. YES! 😁 A limited quantity of catnip toys will be available. I suggest you pre order (that means you Elle), and I will fill as many as I can in the order I receive them. What isn’t preordered I will take to shows.

Good grief! GoDaddy did nothing to fix my web site by today as promised. So, it’s on me to fix it, again. That’s 3 strikes GoDaddy! Tomorrow, I will drop everything on my schedule, except dealing with the dishwasher repairman, to go through the site with a fine tooth comb. I already started replacing missing photos so the featured products on the home page are fixed. GoDaddy can’t explain why my “What to do if the product you want is out of stock…” notice defaulted to the primary photo for the bulk of my products. 🤔 That was just the most obvious problem.

I learned today that I had 74 visitors to my site in just the last 7 days (Woohoo!). Unfortunately, they were not greeted with the carefully designed site I worked on and added to over the past few years. Most people wouldn’t bother looking past the messed up home page. I hope at least some of them will read this post and give my site another chance later, like a week or so from now. By then I also hope to have my USPS account link restored so I will be able ship orders again.

Sorry for whining and venting but I’m really, really frustrated about this. Thank you SO much for your patience.

If you have visited my web site in the past few weeks I apologize for it's unprofessional status. GoDaddy is moving everything to a different system and in the process has caused some issues, most specifically with photos and the loss of my link to my postal account for shipping. After over two hours on the phone, mostly on hold, I finally reached a person who spoke with the developer and they have promised it will be fixed within the next few days. If not, I have already scoped out a couple of prospective new web hosting services.

This will be my last show appearance for 2025. It’s a benefit for a group of performing arts kids to travel next year to compete in a competition. They will also be performing throughout the day. Please come and support them.
