I’m a day late but I can’t go without congratulating the Dale High School Jazz Band! Yesterday they competed at the OSSAA State Jazz Contest. This group performed a great program and was awarded “Superior” by all three judges. They were also recognized as 1st runner up in class 3A.
Saying I’m proud is an understatement! What a great group of talented students!
Congratulations to George Toumayan and the Metro Christian Jazz Band for taking 1st place.

The tradition of excellence continues! The Dale High School Band received “Superior” ratings from all six judges today at the OSSAA State Band Contest. On a separate note the seniors pictured have gone their entire band career with all Superior ratings. It is this type of student leadership that drives our program. So proud of all of these students and their hard work.

The Band is about an hour out. We should be arriving back at the school at 4:40am.

I am so proud of the Dale High School Band! They received a “Superior” rating for both stage performance and sight-reading today at the OSSAA District Contest.
Up next…..we leave for Washington D.C. tomorrow and then begin preparation for State Contest after spring break.
