ROH Community - come Step Up for Students with us!

This fall, we’re bringing our Reach Out Honduras community together in Midland, NC and Richardson, TX for our first-ever Step Up for Students Walkathon!

In La Moskitia, many of our students walk several miles each day simply for the opportunity to attend school. This fall, we’re walking with them, raising funds to support the essential daily operations of Abundant Life Institute for the school year.

🎒 4-Mile Student Journey Route - walk in honor of the journey many of our students make each day in pursuit of an education

Registration is FREE, and we’ll have snow cones, games, and fun for the whole family after the walk! 🍧

Our IVA band and dance team were honored to participate in the inauguration of a new local celebration today, Sihkru Tara🌿✨

"Sihkru Tara is a celebration that honors and highlights the identity, traditions, and cultural richness of the Miskitu people. Through music, dance, cuisine, and customs, we proudly remember our roots and the legacy that unites us as a community from generation to generation."

July isn’t over yet, and we didn’t want to miss the opportunity to celebrate someone very special on our team. 🎉🎂

Orbelito is an IVA graduate, and this is his sixth year serving as a member of our security staff. We deeply appreciate his dedication, commitment, and the valuable work he does every day for our school community.

We wish him another year filled with joy, love, good health, new adventures and many blessings. Thank you for everything you contribute to the IVA family and for being part of this great mission.

We are proud to see our graduates return and serve the community that once helped them grow.

Love Every Monday before stepping into our classrooms, we gather as one school family for our weekly assembly - a special time that sets the tone for the days ahead. 📚✨🌱

Together, we begin with prayer, sing the Honduran National Anthem in Miskitu, reflect on a character value that we will intentionally practice throughout the week, and share important announcements with our students.

We believe that a great week begins by focusing our hearts, minds, and actions on what truly matters.

Can you believe how much has changed over the years? 😍

This year marks 13 years of serving the children and families of La Moskitia through Abundant Life Institute. As we celebrated this milestone, we’re looking back at some of our very first school uniforms.

While our uniforms may look different today, our mission has never changed: to provide an excellent education and help students grow academically, spiritually, and personally.

These photos remind us of where we started, how much we’ve grown, and the many lives that have been part of the IVA family along the way. 🤍

Happy Birthday, Profe Eustaquio!!!! 🎉🎂
As many of you know, Eustaquio Jimenez is
our Abundant Life Institute Director. After visiting the school on his rotations as the Regional District Supervisor, we recruited him to join our team in 2017 and don’t know where we would be without him today! With over 15+ years of experience as a Director in the Honduran Education system and his M.B.A. in Education, Eustaquio is a humble, kindhearted, and incredibly hardworking leader dedicated to making an impact in his community and developing future leaders in La Mosquitia and beyond. We are so lucky to have him leading our staff of 29 day in and day out!

Meet Adonis and Yuben, two of our outstanding tenth-grade students whose determination and perseverance inspire us every day.

Currently, both boys work during the school week after classes at a local fast-food diner to contribute to their households and help cover expenses at home and at school.

Each have overcome different challenges on their educational journey. Through hard work, resilience, and their teachers' support, they continue to grow academically and personally as they work toward their dream of serving their community and continuing their education after high school.

Your support helps bring education with in reach for students like Adonis & Yuben every day - thank you 🙏

Our biggest thank you to adidas for equipping 150 of our students with brand-new backpacks! 🎒📚✨

The excitement on our students’ faces said it all. For many of them, this was their very first time receiving something from the Adidas brand, making this gift even more special.

With more than 400 students at Instituto Vida Abundante, it’s a gift to be able to distribute these backpacks as needed. What may seem like a simple backpack is, for students in need, a reminder that they are seen, valued, and supported by people who believe in their future.

Every backpack will carry more than books - they carry dreams, opportunities, and the confidence to keep learning.
