A little late, but with the same pride! 🇭🇳🤍💙

September 15th, IVA celebrated 205 years of Honduras’ Independence, and today we want to share some moments from the parade. ✨

Thank you to our students, teachers, and families for being part of this celebration and for proudly representing Instituto Vida Abundante.

Thank you so much to everyone who helped make our first-ever Step Up for Students Walkathon such a success!! 👟💙

We had the sweetest morning yesterday as friends in the Dallas and Charlotte areas gathered at the same time to walk in support of our students at Abundant Life Institute in La Moskitia, Honduras.

From everyone who walked, donated, formed a team, shared a fundraising page, volunteered, or simply cheered us on - thank you for stepping up for our students! Every mile walked and dollar raised helps us keep quality education and holistic support within reach.

And a HUGE congratulations to this year’s top fundraisers!! 🎉

Celebrating Children’s Day! 🎉🎈

Our IVA students had the opportunity to visit several kindergartens around Puerto Lempira to celebrate Children’s Day with our youngest learners!

From making colorful piñatas to sharing candy, laughter, games, and lots of fun, our students helped make the day extra special for these little ones. 🎊🍬🎈

We love seeing our students use their time, creativity, and joy to serve and encourage others in our community. What a beautiful way to celebrate childhood!

Happy Children’s Day! 🎉💛

Learning Beyond the Classroom: Professional Internships 📚✨

Our Accounting and Finance seniors have been wrapping up their professional internships this week at organizations and institutions throughout Puerto Lempira!

This experience gives our students the opportunity to put their classroom knowledge into practice, develop new skills, experience a professional work environment, and gain valuable hands-on experience as they prepare for the next chapter of their lives. 💼📊

This year, our students have been working with the Puerto Lempira Hospital Administration Office; Gracias a Dios Regional Health Department; Business Development Center (CDE); MOPAWI – Association for the Development of La Mosquitia; Association of Municipalities of the Honduran Mosquitia; OIKOS – Cooperation and Development, a Portuguese development organization; and COACEHL, a Honduran savings and credit cooperative.

We are so proud of the hard work they have put in and the many ways they’ve grown as they prepare to use their knowledge and skills in their future careers and to serve and contribute to their community. 🌱💛

Happy Birthday Profe Alberto! 🎉🎂

Alberto has been part of the Instituto Vida Abundante team since 2018, serving as our Social Studies teacher and a guide teacher. Alberto is a dedicated, determined, and enthusiastic educator who is deeply loved by both our students and staff.

In addition to being a teacher, Alberto is a professional welder with extensive experience - bringing a unique combination of skills, knowledge, and life experience to our IVA community.

More than anything, Alberto is someone who brings curiosity, kindness, empathy, steadiness, and peace to those around him. He and his beautiful family are shining lights in Puerto Lempira, and we are incredibly grateful to have him as part of our team. 💙

Happy birthday, Alberto! We pray that this new year of life is filled with happiness, health, and many blessings. May God continue to bless you, your family, and the lives of the students you serve. 🙏🏼🎂
