With heavy hearts, the McGowen PTA mourns the loss of a cherished third-grade Maverick. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family, friends, classmates, and teachers as they navigate this heartbreaking loss. We hold them close in our hearts and stand beside them as a community during this difficult time.

From fun-filled events to sweet moments of connection, this school year was one for the books — and it would not have been possible without our incredible McGowen community. Thank you for showing up, cheering loudly, volunteering your time, supporting our students, and making every event feel so special.

This week, we had the joy of celebrating some of our amazing volunteer MVPs 🏆 Edgar, Rita and Nick and treating our wonderful staff to frozen beverages so they could chill out after an incredible year 🧊🥤 Because after all they poured into our students, it was the least we could do!

Thank you, Mavericks, for helping us grow a school community full of kindness, laughter, generosity, and heart. We hope your summer is sunny, restful, and sprinkled with lots of fun ☀️💛
