Today, our Middle School Choir and High School Band participated in Music in the Parks at Kings Island.

The ensembles started the day off by performing pieces from our spring concert for two professional music educator adjudicators. The students received judges’ tapes and scored rubrics.

Next, the students spent a fun afternoon in the park!

The students then attended an awards ceremony with Snoopy. Both groups received Excellent ratings!

Following the ceremony, they finished out the day with more fun in the park.

We are so proud of our talented musicians!

Several members of our Choir Department will be performing this Sunday alongside other Hardin County students and the Ohio State University Glee Clubs!

Join us for an afternoon of music at 4:00 PM at Kenton Middle High School, located at 751 Wildcat Way in Kenton. The doors to the auditorium will open around 3:30 PM.

The concert is free and open to the public, and no tickets are required. If you are unable to attend in person, the performance will be livestreamed at https://live.kentoncityschools.org

4th grade students should arrive to their classrooms by 5:45. Band students should arrive to the band room by 5:45.

The Upper Scioto Valley Music Department invites you to our Band and Choir Spring Concert, featuring our 7th–12th grade musicians.

The concert will be held on Wednesday, April 22nd at 6:00 PM in the USV Cafeteria. Door C (the front right door of the school) will open at 5:30 PM.

The Performing Arts Boosters Spring Craft Show is tomorrow. We can’t wait to see you there!

The Performing Arts Boosters Spring Craft Show is this Saturday from 9 AM-2 PM!

Come see 66 vendors and enjoy some shopping! There will be a basket raffle and 50/50 raffle. You can enjoy delicious food from the RAM Cafe as well.

All proceeds benefit the Performing Arts Boosters, who help to support our Band, Choir, and Drama Club students.

Today, several of our High School Choir members participated in the Harmonia Choir Invitational at Bluffton University.

The students learned choir music with Mr. Jonathon Turner. Then, the students had a vocal masterclass with Mr. Jaron LeGrair, a renowned singer. Next, the students toured Bluffton University’s campus. After their dress rehearsal, the students enjoyed a delicious campus dinner. Finally, they put on a concert for their loved ones!

Thank you to everyone who organized and led this event. Our students had a lot of fun!

Today our High School Choir participated in Large Group Contest.

The students sang three prepared pieces for three adjudicators. Then, the students sight sang a piece of music that they have never seen before for an adjudicator. The students then received judges’ sheets, audio commentary, and ratings.

Following a great performance, the students celebrated their hard work with a delicious Kewpee lunch.

Congratulations to all of our musicians!
