Final Notice – Last Chance to Join Gas Well Concern List

Dear Neighbors,

This is your final notice. If you live within 2 miles of the gas wells or have a child attending Donaldson and want your concerns officially heard, you must act now.

What to do:

1) Sign and date the attached verification document.
2) Take a picture or scan it.
3) Email it to our attorney by today, Sunday, April 27, 2025.

Why? The document must be filed in court on Monday, April 28, 2025. After Monday, you cannot be added.

Cecil Township reversed its setbacks after experiencing firsthand what can happen when you allow well pads close to residential developments. It’s unfortunate that the residents had to suffer because of it but kudos to the Cecil supervisors for putting community health and safety first.

Sadly, even when companies experience problems with their well pads and impact the local community, often there is no relief for those residents.

‼️North Fayette Fracking Update‼️

As you may have heard, the Board did vote 10/8/24 to approve the conditional use application for the Semerod Well Pad, despite heavy public opposition, and lack of due process during the public hearing held on 8/27/24.

North Fayette residents will be appealing the decision of the Board to the Court of Common Pleas, due to procedural error public hearing under PA MPC, ARTICLE IX Zoning Hearing Board and other Administrative Proceedings, Section 908, Hearings. Our township Board of Directors did not protect us, nor did they listen to the desires of numerous residents across partisan lines.

After we appeal the Semerod well pad application, we will campaign for the Board to not only reinstate the protective oil + gas ordinance North Fayette had before it was gutted in April, but to adopt other protective measures that neighboring communities have included in their oil + gas zoning ordinances.
