Welcome Back, Mohawks!

Today marks the beginning of another school year, and I want to wish all of our students, teachers, staff, administrators, and families a great first day back!

There’s always something special about the first day of school. New classrooms, new opportunities, new goals, and a fresh start for everyone.

To our students: work hard, be kind, get involved, and make this year count.

To our administrators, teachers, staff, bus drivers, aides, cafeteria workers, custodians, and everyone who plays a part in making each school day possible: thank you for what you do for our kids and our community.

And to our parents and families, thank you for trusting Northwest School District with what matters most: our kids!

Our Greg Tipton Back-to-School Supply Drive has been busy collecting and organizing supplies, and now it’s time to get them into the hands of our students!

If you are in need of school supplies, be sure to stop by the Greg Tipton School Supply Drive Booth at Open House this Tuesday from 4:30-7pm and pick up what you need to start the year ready to go!

We are excited to announce that Northwest Athletics will be entering into an exclusive brand partnership with Nike!

Be on the lookout for new facility branding around campus, as well as the Nike gear our athletes will be proudly sporting over the next few years.

🎉 FREE BREAKFAST & LUNCH FOR ALL NORTHWEST STUDENTS! 🍎🥛

Northwest Local School District is excited to announce that ALL students will receive BREAKFAST and LUNCH at NO CHARGE during the 2026–2027 school year! ❤️💙

Through the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP), every student enrolled in Northwest Local School District can receive one nutritious breakfast and one nutritious lunch each school day at no cost — regardless of household income.

Please note: Additional meals, extra items, and à la carte purchases are not included in CEP and may still require payment.

We are excited to provide this opportunity for our students and families as we begin another great school year!
