Our first week back at Vanguard Christian School is officially in the books! 💜📚

At Vanguard, each week is intentionally designed to bring together strong academics, meaningful time in the classroom, purposeful learning at home, and a Christ-centered foundation that carries through it all.

And this week was only the beginning. 🤍

What a GREAT first day at Vanguard! 💜📚✨

Our classrooms were full of smiling faces, new beginnings, and students ready to learn and grow. We couldn’t have asked for a better way to kick off another year at Vanguard Christian School!

As we begin this new school year, we’re excited to give our community a closer look at what makes Vanguard different—a Christ-centered education, strong academics, meaningful classroom instruction, and more intentional time together as a family.

🍏 New Teacher Introduction: Meet our 2nd & 3rd Grade ELA & Social Studies Teacher! 🍎

Mrs. Lindsay has been married to her best friend Russ for 13 years, and they have been blessed with 4 sweet children. (Three of them attend VCS; their fourth will join us when he's old enough!) She loves spending time with her family, reading, and traveling or being in nature enjoying God's creation. She and her family attend FBC of Clinton, LA, where she enjoys serving in the nursery and co-teaching an elementary VBS class each summer.

Mrs. Lindsay graduated from North Pike High School and then earned her associate's degree from Southwest MS Community College and her bachelor's degree from The University of Southern Mississippi. She spent 5 years teaching junior high and high school ELA at Bogue Chitto Attendance Center and has spent the last 6 years homeschooling her own children. Last school year, Mrs. Lindsay taught art at VCS.

She is looking forward to a great year at Vanguard working alongside parents to pour into their most precious gifts-their children-and seeing the students grow in knowledge and in faith.

🍏 New Teacher Introduction: Meet our K5 Teacher! 🍎
Mrs. Morgan has been happily married to her husband Matt for six years. They have 2 precious babies. Family is very important to her, and she cherishes any time they get to spend together creating memories. Her family can usually be found somewhere outdoors! She also loves her church family at First Baptist Church in Summit where she enjoys serving in both the preschool & youth ministries.

Mrs. Morgan graduated from North Pike High School and continued her education at Southwest MS Community College and then at The University of Southern Mississippi where she obtained her degree in Elementary Education. She has taught kindergarten & first grade at Amite County Elementary & North Pike Elementary.

She has very much enjoyed her time as a stay-at-home mom for the last few years, and now Mrs. Morgan is so excited to get back into teaching & investing in students! She is thrilled to be a part of the Vanguard family!
