The 24th Annual Council Mountain Music Festival is coming up on Friday, August 21 and Saturday, August 22nd. The very first musical act in our lineup is brothers Landon and Dylan Vance. These two guys perform a variety of Country songs, with Landon on guitar and Dylan on mandolin.

In 2025, with the help of many local artists and friends, Landon released his debut EP "Western Skies". A representative from Trapper's Attic Records said, “This puppy sings like a meadowlark and has been the perfect accompaniment in the car, driving to fishing holes. ”

You can catch Landon and Dylan at the music festival on Saturday, August 22 at 2:30 p.m. (just before the Frayed Knot “blurgrass” band, followed by Good Time Charlie and then the Gem State Cut-Ups).

This beginner-friendly 4-week workshop is the perfect place to start if you already have your own banjo! Dylan Vance will guide you through basic chords, finger positions, and simple songs in a fun, supportive group setting.
