Heifers took a little long but here is a few shots from the Showin’ on the Rio show. We had a great day several 1sts and seconds and a lot of experience. It’s always a great day when McHi FFA can win overall grand Champion Heifer as well. Super proud of all McHi FFA exhibitors for their hard work and dedication. Remember
“The only place where success comes before work is in the dictionary.”
Thank you Mr. Carlos Guerra for that great quote.
So far it’s been a great days Showin’ on the Rio. show in Mercedes, TX with lambs McHi has received a 1st and 2nd and Reserve Champion Fine Wool Cross along with a 2nd and 3rd in fine wool. Great job everyone now just waiting on heifers will be posting results for heifers shortly.

Happy Holidays everyone great picture Riley
Here a few shots from the different shows going. Send in your pictures and we will post them as much as we can.
I would like to thank everyone that came out to the McHi FFA Alumni’s Cowboy Classic yesterday. I know the weather didn’t cooperate with us at all but was still a great success. Those that won buckles they will be here soon we just got stuck behind Houston having to change dates on their buckles from 2020 to 2021 and Covid didn’t help either. As soon as throes buckles come in I will be making calls and arranging for shipping or delivery.
Thank you again for all the support over the years. Already planning 2021 with some new additions to the show and more great awards for the kiddos.
The little dirt road that we ask lambs goats and cattle to come down has been blocked off. All trailers will have to turn at Armory hogs will continue as mapped and cattle, lambs and goats will turn left at Washington street and come in Exit Gate by the RV parking as shown on the map. Sorry for the confusion.
For Cowboy Classic all traffic will exit Vermont Avenue. At the stop sign (Armory Dr.) swine will turn right and go in as usual. All cattle, sheep and goats will go straight and come in through the exit gate by the RV park. Attached is the map to help explain it. Please share with everyone.
We are trying to minimize the size of the crowd at Cowboy Classic that is why we are staggering the lamb/goat arrival and check in times. If you are only showing lambs/goats please do not come in early. While there are no orders specifically for outdoor events like this we still need to minimize contact and the staggered check in time allows this. If you have any questions please feel free to call 956-656-3189 McHi FFA office number. Please share away.
McAllen FFA will be selling shirts at the show as a quick fundraiser. Here is what they will look like. $15 at the show.
Preview of awards for McHi FFA Alumni Cowboy Classic. Join us Saturday December 5, 2020 at the Rio Grande Valley Livestock Show Grounds.
