Four of our Pace Vikings softball players represented this week at the Pony International World Series in McAllen, Texas in the 18U Palomino Division. Competing against 22 elite teams from around the world, they battled their way to an incredible 2nd Place finish, falling only to the champions from Manila, Philippines.
These your talented athletes were instrumental to Pride Elite's success every step of the way along with the rest of their teammates from other parts of the RGV.
🥎 Nubia was dominant in the circle and dependable at first base and offensively unstoppable with some spectacular at bats. She was named tournament MVP.
🌟 Sammy covered center field with speed making big plays when they mattered most both offensively and defensively.
💪 America anchored the middle infield at shortstop and second base, showing so much leadership, consistency, and outstanding defense as well as some amazing offensive plays!
🧱 Sofia was an absolute wall at third base, shutting down the hot corner stopping anything that came her way. Our 3rd baseman came in clutch with some incredible offensive plays.
For four hard-fought days, these Pace Vikings
represented Brownsville with class, and proved they belong on one of the biggest stages in youth softball.
Congratulations to our girls and to Pride Elite on an outstanding World Series Runner-Up finish! Your hard work and love for the game made our entire Pace family proud.
