Let’s talk about the honey bees enemy #1, varoa mites. They Crawl around on the bees like fleas and suck their blood like ticks. Feed off the larvae and carry diseases. Horrific critters that carried a virus that decimated approximately 75% of the bee population in America last year.
To top it off, they are becoming resistant to some of the most common treatments.

Did you know honey Comb gets darker with age. It essentially gets dirty from bees trampling over it. It starts white

Nothing like a 645 am bee check. Added a super to one and checked the other two. First 71 degree morning in a while. They were pretty chill. The last one got a little. Frustrated for a second but nothing a little smoke couldn’t handle. Work ladies work.

Sorry it’s been a minute. It’s hot hot hot and life is busy busy! These girls have been buzzing away! Got to add a deep to one and a honey super to another tonight. I try not to mess with them too much when it’s hot. They get as grumpy as we do in the heat!

Speaking of bees….
I love to catch swarms of bees. They are unmistakable, loud and lots of bees bunches together just looking for a new home. But don’t be alarmed, they are very docile during this time.

On that note, I can come to your residence and catch swarms. So if you hear of, see or know of a swarm, pass my info and page along!

At this time I do not do removals from inside of trees, walls, closed up structures that require destruction of property. But the can pass information along to individuals that might.
