In an effort to continue redefining college access and affordability for Michiganders, MSU is expanding its Spartan Tuition Advantage program, which covers the full cost of tuition for all Pell Grant–eligible students who have a family income of $75,000 or less.

“With nearly 4,000 students currently benefiting from the Spartan Tuition Advantage, this increased investment reflects our land-grant legacy of broadening access to higher education,” said MSU President Kevin M. Guskiewicz, Ph.D.

Additionally, from now until Oct. 15, MSU is waiving the application fee for all first-year in-state applicants with the code Spartan1855.

I am honored to have received a “70 Over Seventy: The Next Generation Award” from Hannan Center in Detroit. Their recognition, and the beautiful celebration luncheon we attended today, is a kind recognition of the work I love doing. This honor was awarded in the ART section, where there are ten awardees. The program states, “These awardees participate in the creation, teaching and/or development of art. They continue to improve communities by giving them greater access to art, increasing their knowledge of the craft, and creating exceptional work.”

Every year our Holiday Shop takes over the BBAC galleries, presenting unique handmade goods and artwork from over 200 artists and makers.
