We are very saddened by the passing of Phi Phi alum, Heather Riley. She served as Alpha Sigma Alpha’s overall Vice President. Our hearts go out to her family and her many friends.

The ladies of ASA have been very busy this past month! From our annual Mr. Northwest Pageant, Polar Plunge, and Mom's Day it sure has been a great February! Our PR majors took a trip to KC and other sisters took a trip to the cattle show to help raise money! We also started a "traveling sisterhood journal" that gets passed to a new sister each week! You can read the wonderful things their sisters have to say about them below! Stay tuned each week to see the love our sisters have for one another❤️ Alpha Love

Today our new members and a few of our exec members had the opportunity to attend Academy Days. There the women networked with members from other chapters across the Midwest. They learned many new things to bring back and implement in our own chapter!

Yesterday we joined our fellow Greeks on campus for the Greek Scholarship ceremony where Greek members and chapters are recognized for their academic success.

We are so pleased to announce that Alpha Sigma Alpha recieved the award for Overall Best Sorority GPA! We also were recognized for having the Best GPA for the Spring 2016 Semester. We are so proud of our hard work and accomplishments.

56 members were recognized for having a 3.0-3.99 GPA and 21 members were recognized for having a 4.0 GPA and we are so incredibly proud of these women's hard work.

One of our lovely New Members, Taylor Dorrel was awarded the Outstanding New Member Scholarship. She has worked so hard and we are lucky to have her in our chapter.

Our lovely President, Jordan Poore, was also awarded the Greek President's Scholarship. Our entire chapter is so fortunate to have such a wonderful leader and role model.

Thanks to our Scholarship Chair, Kendyl McCartney for keeping everyone accountable and expecting great things from all of us and for our community and everyone's support as we continue to aim high and achieve great things here at Northwest.

It has been such a wonderful Homecoming week for all of us here in Alpha Sigma Alpha.

Our Homecoming Royalty candidate, Jacob Wood, won Northwest Homecoming King and one of our beautiful seniors, Brooke Ravenscraft was crowned Homecoming Queen.

We won 1st place in Banner, under the committee heads, Rose Halpin and Emily Elder.

We won 1st place in Paper Mache Heads which were led by Cara Lunsford and Kate Masters.

We also took home 2nd place and the award for People's Choice best skit thanks to Monica Irwin, Courtney Coble and the rest of the skit cast, props crew, and amazing guys from Phi Sigma Kappa.

Our canned art that was displayed in the union took home 3rd place thanks to Crystal Bauer and Kylie Hoffman.

Our fabulous Trouble themed jalopy placed 2nd thanks to the hard work of Sierra Horan and Kristen McCulley.

We placed 2nd in the highly competitive Big Float category with the men of Sigma Tau Gamma under the guidance, design, and leadership of our AMAZING float chairs, Shawn McCarville and Mackenzie Winn. We truly couldn't have created such a fabulous float without the hard work of our entire chapter and the dedication and love we all have for both Alpha Sigma Alpha and Northwest. Because of this, we won overall Best Parade and we could not be more proud of all of our hard work.

And finally we took home the award for OVERALL HOMECOMING SUPREMACY! This is such an accomplishment for our chapter and we are so thrilled to share this victory with our sisters, families, and everyone who helped and supported us along the way.

Happy Homecoming from Alpha Sigma Alpha!
