Please see the July Board of Education summary for July. As always, reach out if you have any questions! It is hard to believe we are a little over a month away before the school year starts. Things are very busy at all schools getting ready for students to return!

The Board of Education Summer Work Session was held on July 8th focusing on reviewing the district's progress, planning for the future, and discussing key strategic priorities.

Board members reviewed facility improvement and long-range planning efforts, discussing current needs, future capital projects, and strategies to ensure district facilities continue to support student learning and growth.

The board also examined the district's Comprehensive School Improvement Plan (CSIP), evaluating priorities, goals, and initiatives designed to improve student achievement and strengthen district operations.

Policy discussions included graduation requirements, with consideration given to potential updates that align with state requirements and best practices while ensuring students remain well prepared for postsecondary opportunities.

The board reviewed information related to Amendment 5 and discussed its potential implications for the district, including any financial or operational impacts.

A review of the district's A–F Grade Card provided an opportunity to examine accountability measures, student performance data, and areas for continued improvement.

An overview of the district's benefits package was presented, providing a comprehensive look at the offerings available. The discussion highlighted the district's commitment to offering competitive benefits for employees.

With open discussion and strategic planning, Maryville is in a good postion to serve students, support staff, and continue working in partnership with the community to ensure the continued success and growth of the district!

This is a topic that we all need to be paying attention to because it is only going to get worse.

The June Board of Education meeting focused on preparing for the 2026-27 school year. This is one of the busiest times of the year for administrators as they work prepare for school to resume in August.

During the meeting, the Board approved the preliminary budget, annual handbooks, the Su***de Awareness and Prevention Plan, grants and partnerships, and personnel recommendations.
