Here’s a look at the Board of Education meeting held Wednesday, September 16.

We were excited to welcome college students pursuing careers in education who attended the meeting to observe, learn and ask questions. It was wonderful to see so many future educators from Northwest Missouri State University taking the opportunity to experience the work of a local school board firsthand!

We’re proud to support and encourage the next generation of educators in our community. 🍎📚

EUGENE FIELD & MECC PARENTS PLEASE READ!

🚗 MORNING DROP-OFF INSTRUCTIONS! 🚌

It’s no secret the school drop off can be chaotic and stressful. A map has been created to help make this process smooth!

I have visited with administrators to understand the process of drop off. The most important notes to make this successful:

1️⃣ If you want to walk your child in the school, you have to park in the parking lot and walk your child across the crosswalk.

2️⃣ If you drop your child off from the vehicle, you must do that in the right lane. Please have your child exit the vehicle on the RIGHT side. Doing this ensures that your child will never touch the street, they will immediately be on the sidewalk.

3️⃣ After you have dropped your child off, exit using thr left lane. This will help the right lane continue to flow for drop offs.

4️⃣ Doors open at 7:30 a.m. and close at 7:50 a.m.

Signage will be visible at the school with instructions on the drop off process. Please review the map created by admins and share it with your school drop-off crew!

I was able to visit our schools today to register kids for the upcoming year. A lot of hard work has went in to getting things in tip top shape for students!

One highlight is the high school gym makeover! Bleachers are set to arrive the first day of school to finish things off!

It’s going to be a great school year for Spoofhound students and educators!

In the next few days I will be posting a Eugene Field drop off map, and pointing out some key instructions for the drop off process. I know it can get hectic, but a great plan is in place to make it flow smooth.

Please see the July Board of Education summary for July. As always, reach out if you have any questions! It is hard to believe we are a little over a month away before the school year starts. Things are very busy at all schools getting ready for students to return!
